And all I wanted to do was start a small online affiliate marketing business…
My mind was spinning, and I thought to myself…
Why not just throw in the towel?
Besides my friends and family thought I was just wasting my time on a dream…
They said things like, “Is this your new hobby?”; “Are you going to be one of those fake online business deals?”; “You’re never going to make a go of this…”
Sooooo encouraging….
Wait!!!
There’s Hope!!!
What I learned about online affiliate marketing is that you cannot do it alone…
Ok, maybe that one-in-a-million “Wiz” kid can…
That person who can build and deliver the wonder product no one else can refuse…
But what about the rest of us?
Not to mention I’m a “Boomer…”
I wanted in, but didn’t really understand this brave new world of smartphones, tablets, and fast desktop computers…
Hell, I still had a flip phone and a 10-year-old computer…
I was all set to make my mark and join a new age of online affiliate marketing…
Whoa!!! Wait a minute partner….
It doesn’t work that way at all…
There is no overnight success or instant riches…
What I learned was that I needed the help of people who went before me…
In this case, I found some young brilliant mentors. (One of my computers is older than some of these wonder kids).
That’s a hard pill to swallow when you are old enough to be their parent or grandparent…
And needless to say, I thought I knew everything, with my “Been there, done that,” attitude…
I was so wrong…
Besides, I don’t have as much time left in my timeline to wait another ten years to see if I can make this work…
Why not take advantage of the time they’ve already spent getting to where they are now as, (Super-successful affiliate marketers…)
They provided me with an in-depth training course (for a fee…)
That cuts through the learning process into months instead of years…
And I thought that sounded pretty reasonable, and I have no regrets each and every day I learn something new from the masters…
Am I an overnight success???
Heck no…
This affiliate marketing takes work and lots of dedication…
If someone says it’s a get-rich-quick gimmick, run away…
If someone is going to be successful in affiliate marketing, they are going to have to work for it…
That I can promise you…
So why not take advantage of someone else’s earlier path that proceeds our own???
That decision lies with each individual person who is looking to make a go in affiliate marketing…
It is NOT for everyone…
